    Hello
I bought this Homefront brodie helmet two weeks ago and I am not shure about
The liner is dated 1939 and was made by CS &W and the shell is stamped H T618
The helmet looks like it was used before as Combat helmet because inside and under the black paint the raw texture is visible
The liner is the Civic style
The chinstrap is MK3 and the wearers initials were scrached in(P C)
The letters L/ R were painted on it
What say the experts to this helmet
What means L/ R and who has manufactured this Brodiehelmet
I am very thankful for all comments and Ideas
    Best regards from germany
    Bavarian

Most 'Home Fronters' were painted black over the factory coat, so that's normal. I believe the '/ R' marking indicates an emergency repair worker of some kind, although I'm not sure what the 'L' might stand for.

That is not a manufacturers mark. Some of it MAY be part of a name...and some of it will be the steel batch number. Many stamps are unclear..there SHOULD be a makers stamp, a date and a Batch Number
