    Default Mk2. NFS Column Officer.

    Aluminium painted helmet with the NFS badge & FF number to the front, with a red 1/2" band for Column Officer.
    There were two column officers per division, each in command of 50 pumps.
    The FF is for HQ, Derby, although you can just about see underneath the 7 a number 9, HQ Leicester.
    Both helmet & liner are dated 1938.
