A senior rescue Mk2 with 2 black stripes which might be for head of rescue? The helmet belonged to a B.JEFFCOTE (cotton label stuck to the inside shell) plus also written on inside of brim.
The helmet is dated 1939 & made by BMB, as is the liner.

A nice example. Thanks for showing. As i understand it, this type of marking denotes someone in a senior or leading role within their branch.I have one marked the same for RP/E (repair party electric).
A very nice helmet, these are getting tougher to get with every passing day.I remember when i was a kid thirty years ago the local goverment surplus charged £1.50 for a black W,R,A,FAP,ARP etc helmet or £3.00 for a white one.If only i had used my pocket money on these instead of repro ammo pouches and zippo lighters!!!
NCA, I have a few RP/ but they are black, any chance to see your white one Those were the days when helmets were that cheap Fallschirmjager, I remember in the 80's when German helmets were £20-25 for a non decal & £25-30 for a decal
Here you go: Repair party electric RP/E mkii helmet.
My offer still stands!
yeah, I remember that one now, thanks for reminding me, nice helmet.
