Named British MkII helmet
Here is a MkII British helmet in very good condition. The helmet is painted in a khaki 'sawdust' finish and the liner is dated 1940. The owner of the helmet was a J R WEST, he must have been very fond of his helmet (and worried about it going missing) as he has named it no less than five times!! (a mixture of pencil signatures, initials and painted name) Following his name of the rim are the initials D.C.J.T.C - has anybody got an idea of what they stand for? Given its condition I guess it was owned by somebody on the homefront and not used much.
