A "Death Coffin" was given to collaberators and any one who worked with the Germans, by the French Resistance.
It was a warning to them, that thay had been watched and found guilty..
If they didn't stop, they would end up in a proper coffin - dead!
Made of a nice wood, small, so it could easily be slipped in to a pocket or bag.
‘Mort au Collabos’ (‘Death to Collaborators’) was inscribed inside the wood coffin.
The normal outcome wasn't very nice..
Vive La Resistance!
