Default War Dated Mk I HSRAC

The newest addition to my collection of British and Canadian helmets, a British. The liner is stamped BMB and dated 1943, the 3 being very lightly stamped. The chin strap is the correct Mk III which I believe is original to the helmet. Sorry but for whatever reason the photos loaded rotated.

Very impressive. Not so easy to find war time dated ones

A nice helmet, actually difficult to find in original conditions, for comparison I have this example, also 1943 dated, and it seems to me that even the color is the same as your helmet.

Yours is nice too Roberto. May I ask the the maker's stamp on the liner? Are you aware of any history behind your helmet? Used by Canadian forces in Italy perhaps?
Mine came to me from Greece.

The maker's stamp of the liner of this helmet is:
    CCL
    11
    1943
I don't know his story, but I think this example was used by British troops, it was the subject of an old post of mine
    HSRAC Mk1
here you can find various ideas about its origin shared with other expert friends of the forum.
