What did I just win? Soviet helmet?
Article about: hi Guys, I just won this for 27 EU - the seller had no clue what he was selling - I checked "Brandon's helmet" site - but none of the "Soviet style" helmets matched this

I think its a Hungarian model 1950 helmet based on the Soviet M40 design, but I'm sure others will correct me if I'm wrong.
-
Thanks - I think it's def. not Hungarian M50 - I have 12 of those (liner, chin-strap, and markings are different)
-
-
THX guys - I'll know more when the helmet arrives - maybe there is marking on the inside of the liner...could be CCCP M60.
-
Yes, I am sure it is a ssh60, looks like it is missing part of its liner adjustment cord.
-
Looks like an Ssh 60 but i don't recognise the webbing and leather chin strap, also Soviet lids are usually covered in ink stamps but of course they could have worn off or been painted over!..
-
looks like a Russian Ssh60 with a replacement liner
-
ah...then I guess I'll have to replace the replacement liner
