    There might be a right way, but add humans/soldiers in to the mix and anything could happen.
    One end is easy, the other slightly different.
    This is an Mk3A, but the fittings are the same,the rolled bar, not the wavy bar fit on to the chin strap lug.

    Thank you tinlid. I will attach it that way. By the way, the chinstrap on this helmet is about 25 inches long. Seems too long. Any thoughts?

    Another name, Merriweather, who the dealer said came in bundles of 50, dated 2 November 1941, they were Mk2A.
    Presuming they also made non magnetic Mk2 straps also.
    But can't confirm as dealer won't reply.
