Default Help Requsted ti ID a Canadian naval cap PLEASE

Hi, The cap pictured below came into my possession several years ago and to date, I have not been able to identify it. Almost certainly, judging by the manufacturer's label, it was made in Britain. The embellishment comprises a good quality arc of maple rather than the usual oak or laurel, gold wire embroidered leaves which would indicate Canada? as the country of wear? My guess is that it is possibly a Merchant Marine Captain's cap for a shipping line such as Canadian Pacific etc. Any information or comments would be appreciated.

With thanks, regards and best wishes Michael Ryan
