Just got this visor cap from the local opp shop dated 1950

Hi all just got this visor cap from the local opp shop for $5 Au can't believe my luck ATM. I think it's an officers cap but as most of you know I'm still a green horn although I have learnt quiet alot since being a regular to the forum . I'm unsure about it . Patrol blue's I'm guessing and australian by the chin strap buttons . although the cap is made in england . any help be great on this one cheers

Looks like an Officer's ( Brigadier/Colonel ) dress cap. Artillery.........?

unfortunately some one has scratched the name or service number off I'll have a good look later and see if I can make anything out .

Bargain for 5 bucks mate. Unusual to see an officers cap with a WD acceptance stamp, Aussie Dept of Defence in this case.

thanks for the info jerry knew it was a good buy as soon as I seen it I tell you when he said a fiver I almost chocked ... I just scored again today too mate a service jacket apparently ww1 era or earlier I'll start a thread on it .

Great find I think it is for Artillery good condition too, at 5 bucks you cannot beat the price
