Need help authenticating 82nd airborne patch

I bought this patch last May and would like to know if this is an original gemsco cornrow 82nd patch from WW2?

Yes its a GEMSCO, the reverse raised border is another GEMSCO identifyer as well as the heavy ribbed look.

Here are several used 82nd.

Thank you for your reply, much appreciated. Could you indicate whether my patch is an original ww2 patch? Could you explain in which timeframe these Gemsco patches were produced?

Hi Bas

Yes its WWII era , some say early but definitely WWII.
Time frame 1942-1945 , as you dont have the box it came out of a presice date is impossible.
Reverse side of the patch has a raised border due to the US schiffli manufacturing process, that individual manufacturers can make in the design of the patch same as the heavy ribbed that you see, its kinda like their embroidery signature.

Below is an early 2AD embroidered on wool GEMSCO as another example
