US Airborne Command helmet decals

Hi all,
I'm struggling to identify these old unused helmet decals that I picked up with a batch of things from an auction recently.
There is definite age to them and the design is the US Army Airborne Command, but everything I have seen in research so far is a white glider and parachute on the red background and not dark glider and parachute, like my decals.



I'm making an assumption that they are a bad attempt at a copy, but would love to know if I am missing something here? (maybe a training unit or something?)
