    Not certain but that would make a great motorcycle outer fairing & enclosure to build a replica land speed record bike!

    Was thinking the same. LoL They made some craze racers out of these in the 50's/60's. But this one looks pretty small.

    Ya I was thinking side car for a panhandle ! And yes this one would be to small for a car i believe (of course I think they stretched some.) Also I think I heard somewhere they used three cylinder Volkswagen engines in those salt lake racers. I'm wondering if its better to try to get it paired with its original plane instead of cut it up.

    Any chance it’s off a p40 ? Or is it too many gallon? It looks very similar to this one just wondering

    Yeah probably. Just a standardised design more than likely so probably a few US planes could use it. Also probably the P47

    No way to really tell what specific plane used that exact one.
