1937 British Battledress blouse.

Article about: by NCA Its a minefield this game! All the brass buttons are made by Cheney of Birmingham.(just looked at the back of them!) They are the same as the ones on my 40 pattern BD trousers and are

    I would agree with Ade and Jerry. I don't see anything to worry about.

    The blouse would probably be mid 1939 - mid 1940 production, judging by the features. The greener drill was a common feature of the linings of Service Dress jackets in the 1930s, and as has been said, earlier production examples seem to have been a lot less regulated than the later ones were.

    I would say the "TRC" is a unit or stores stamp of some sort.

    Cheney were one of many, many makers of those buttons
