Article about: I thought I would show my 1945 marked New Zealand leather jerkin. It was manufactured just post war but they are hard enough to find in any form in NA I am happy to find it. I am unable to m

    Hi All,
    These lightweight leather jerkins were made for the New Zealand Women's Land Service that wasn't disbanded until April 1946. This is why production of the jerkins continued into 1946.
    The jerkins are to lightweight for active service.
    I have done a study of NZ made jerkins from NZ Archives files if anyone is interested.
