Early War Denim Battledress?

Article about: Hi, Just got this denim battledress. Did not pay a lot for it. It has pleated pockets. The inside label is long and narrow and is a lot darker colour green than my other denim. Just wonderin

    Default Early War Denim Battledress?

    Hi,

    Just got this denim battledress. Did not pay a lot for it. It has pleated pockets. The inside label is long and narrow and is a lot darker colour green than my other denim. Just wondering on your opinion on this. Is it an early war one?
    Looking through the pockets I found a note on how to make knots and 2 peices of chalk.

    pleated pockets are typical for those from before autumn 1942 when the austerity version was introduced.
