    Just found this orphaned one in the junk pile! should be with my others! but this one has good stamps (had people tell me stamps are post WW2) Can just make out - Patten date July 15 1944, Contract May 7 1945.
    Any way here's some crap pics and a attempted scan!

    Funny that the US HBT's are not popular, used in most of the major US campaigns in WW2!

    Rene these HBT WW2 jackets are very collectable, and prices are rising. Re your comment,... "people" are wrong.

    I have a mint 1st pattern, yours would be a 2nd pattern.

    Actually the New Zealand 3rd Division in the Pacific issued these jackets in 1943 to troops.

    One of obvious clues apart from shape and style of the pockets (gussets and cut corners) is the shade of green. The early ones until 1943 were Sage green. Then Olive drab came in with the revision in 1943.

    Ahh I can chuck in a 44 Aust made in the early shade probably made from US textiles?Attachment 1511703

    And a USMC used 1st patt. Got a couple of other 1st ones somewhere.
