    Hi Guys, a few years ago I was at a multi period LH show and came upon a surplus trade stall. 99% of the stuff for sale was modern. However I found these, still boxed up. While the boxes had suffered externally from damp, inside they were perfect. Not being a mercenary sort, ( I will never be rich!) I went around my comrades who also collected Brit kit to advise them of the stall. Needless to say, they soon all sold out; 10 pairs at £5 a box!

    Note the RAF 22c stores number. These socks were worn with flying kit. No difference to the wartime ones despite the 1953 date.

    They did indeed: we cleaned him out mins after I found them! My mates ran to the stall
