Hi there.
I believe this is an example of a ww2 Smock, Windproof, Camouflaged, but hopefully someone can confirm or correct this.
Introduced in the later part of the war, these smocks would see extensive use with infantry across Northern Europe, and again in Korea. Many would make their way to the French in Indochina, and they would become a mainstay of British special forces well into the 70s.
