The reason I like the one I mentioned is the liner has material of the kind from these jackets M41
I like the bottom one shown: a rarer M38 jacket. No shoulder straps and flapped pockets. I used to have one of these.
Cheers, Ade.
HI,
Nice collection, you have!!!
Thanks for all the information.
I'm just starting my collection on US Uniforms.
I'm still learning how to recognize the original items.
Yes, its the second field jacket i bought.
I also have a dress uniform of a US third army capitain,
that i posted here, some time ago.
I'm looking for nice examples of dress uniforms and field ones, that represents that period of history.
Now, my pursuit is to find a affordable US M-42 airborne Jump jacket. I've found some nice ones, but all over a thousand U$.
I also looking for a USAAF and USMC uniforms.
Regards
Fabio
Hi René, I would certainly recognise my old 38 pattern jacket again if it ever showed up. It had the name "Levison" written in black ink on the back of the jacket just under the collar on the outside.
I do have a photo of me wearing it. I keep saying I will dig out those old photos.....
Cheers, Ade.
My two cents :
This jacket seems to be legit ...
by the way MODISH CLOAK & SUIT MANUFACTURING Co. is an unknow producer and the contract number W-45-043-qm-674 is not correct ...
It must have been around W-36-030-qm-**** to be legit to me.
