Women in the Service

Over the past year I've picked up a couple women's service uniforms and I thought I would share and mix it up a little this evening. Unfortunately all are un-named.

First up is a 1st Lt Army Nurse attached to the 6th Army. This includes her jacket, shirt and tie.

Next up is one I just received today.

This is a WAC jacket for a T5 who saw service in the Pacific assigned to the Pacific Ocean Areas and then the Western Pacific Command. Interestingly she put a service star on her WW2 Victory Ribbon. It was not authorized but the common consensus is that this was done by some vets to signify they served overseas during the war.

And my final submission for the evening is a WAVES officer jacket and skirt that came with a period hanger as well.

All three uniforms are righteous indeed, and the waves uni is snazzy 👍

My wife is a nurse so that's why I bought that 1st Lt one. She wants me to find a white nurse uniform now...

I'm lovin it!!! My Aunt Annie was a SSgt in the CBI AAF stationed in Karachi. I have her uniforms and the pic's she took while over there.
