Default ww2 US HBT shirt ----- Need Help

    Hi guys,
I am looking a buying this ww2 USMC HBT shirt but have no clue if it's real
or not. It will be used as a prop in an upcoming photo shoot so it wouldn't be
the end of the world if it's a repo but it's not cheap and I don't want to spend
a large amount if it's fake.

These are the only pictures I could get. Everything looks right to me but I don't
collect cloth items and you might spot something that I can't.

    Thanks for your help,
    Greg

    Greg,

It looks fine to me, the ink stamps, EGA and name stencil are all consistent with USMC regulation markings.

Also trying to see if I can find a M. Heaney in the USMC rosters. I have a few hits but I am not sure if there is another initial on the shirt or not...

Please correct me if I'm wrong but the one breast pocket and two lower ones would make this a first pattern USMC jacket from 1941? I think later they did away with the lower pockets (1944). Looks good to me

That’s correct P41. The P44 saw two breast pockets with flaps. Along the lines of the army HBT, and the trousers had cargo pockets

Very nice find. These are getting more and more expensive

    Yea, It was not cheap.
I found this one on Etsy. It was at least $50 cheaper than the ones that
I saw on military dealer sites.

Congratulations GregM. Maybe it has a name or laundry mark? Exciting times.
