An American Air Force Medal of Honor

Regarding this particular medal, doesn’t strike me as one of the fakes and is/was 2-3 times the price than it should be. Today he has several from $1350 and higher. Couple have sold just north of $950; all of which are too high IMO. The SF version doesn’t have the allure of Navy and Army nor the history. Therefore they don’t command a premium unless there is provenance. That said, these were not high quality in general with respect to the finer details as you would see in early Army or Navy strikes. So there may look “off” but may be legit based on that observation. If you are a MOH collector then it’s a matter of how badly you want it.
Beware on that site, there are many MOH there with incorrect pads for the period medal and ones that just don’t match the cravat, signs of tampering IMO. The parts may be all ok but some don’t belong together. Buyer beware as with any large investment in a medal like this.
I’ve bought from him several times with great results, but you must know what you’re buying because as I said there can be inconsistencies
