I recently saw this being sold in a Greek store (e-nomisma.gr) for 800 euros appx. $902 .

Nice original badge Aghs that still has one of the original pins that were fitted.
Good hunting and thank you for posting.

Being in contact with a collector of Greek memorabilia here is a super set from a veteran from the 3rd Greek Mountain Brigade including personal documentation and another awarded badge...This one has been pierced so that it can be sewn to the uniform:
The soldier in question is John Karagiannis
The fourth attachment shows his details such as place of birth and date of birth
The third attachment shows his badge
The second attachment is the certificate that accompanied his badge
The first attachment shows the medals he received for his tour of duty with the 3rd Greek Mountain Brigade serving with the Royal Greek Forces in Italy.
A nice complete set awarded to the Veteran.
All the best

I'm so glad you got this fantastic set from the 3rd Greek Mountain Brigade.
From the attachments, seems that sergeant John Karagiannis who was born 1922 in Symi island served in the Greek Army of the Middle East (from 29 Jan. 1944 to 21 June 1944) and in the 1st Infantry Battalion of the Greek Brigade (from 23 June 1944 to 6 April 1945).
Fought in Italy from 8 September 1944 to 17 October 1944. Preceded by andragathia in sergeant and he was awarded the medal cross of the Evangelist Mark and the medal of excellence.
Finally discharged on 29 September 1945.
Best regards, Aghs.

Wow, that is a stunning set. Congrats.
Hello Aghs
Thank you very much for the translation.
Unfortunately I haven’t added this super set to my collection it is still held by the family.
The pictures came from a collector friend of mine who knows the family.
I just thought it was a great addition to the thread
All the best
Doug
