Very nice medals ! I really like british medals , i think your France and germany star has the wrong ribbon .
Kind regards
alex
Banksy, i may have some good news. If you do a google search for ACE, aircrew europe, there is a website that specialises just in this award. One of the easiest ways, or has been up to now, is that the point of the V in VI is over the first arm of the w in crew in original medals and over the centre of the w in fakes/copys. Unless its the way its been photoed then yours appears to be good. If this is indeed a copy its very worrying.
Collectorww2, information for WW2 awards is only available for the indivdual or close relatives at this time but is supposed to be changing soon, don't hold your breath. From the actual medals, war and defence only you can tell that this individuals war was spent in the U.K or at least somewhere that didn't receive a combat award. He probably spent the war on RAF bases servicing aircraft or any of the other host of tasks that were required to keep the base functioning, one of the unsung 'heroes'.
Banksy: Thanks, and what makes you say that?
kc1: Thanks for all the info, I kind of already knew he was not a pilot(Just a guess mind you), and the ACE is probably a fake, it might be the way it is photographed, but I would not have picked this one up as an original(I made a trade with somebody and got this one along with the Italy star and a Swedish uniform, he and I already knew it was a copy).
Here are some more detailed pictures:

Sorry Vegar got my wires crossed there thinking the ACE was Banksy's. Anyway looking at the back it is possible that this is a cast from an original rather than the standard fake that has been around for years. With your consent i'd like to post your photos on the British Medal Forum as a warning for other collectors.
