    Thanks for the additional pictures mate! What a fantastic medal grouping It seems that he had an interesting military career too!!
    It is quite a rare and uncommon combination of medals as well

    Thank you so much for sharing those pic's. I have never seen a Hiroshima nuclear exposure medal and he went on to serve in Korea!!!!!! Your GF was a Great Man!!!!! So sorry he had to lose his life to the exposure he(They) knew nothing about!!!!

    PS it was the Aust Service Medal 39-45 that had the qual period reduced from 18 months overseas service to 1 month in 1996, not the 39-45 Star.
    As far as i know the eligibility was changed for the 39-45 star too... For guys who were at the time serving overseas but because the war ended and cut their time short to less than 6 months.
