Why are French medals so cheap?
Hello everyone, Alek from Montenegro overhere.
I started collecting medals and orders and I saw that French ones are quite a bit cheap, especially when you compare them to British ones. Why is that? Why are they not popular among collectors?
Also, is there a possibility to find out who they belonged to (Legion of Honor, War crosses etc.)
Thank you!

Hello Alek
I don't know why they are cheaper ?
they are popular.... in France
for 14-18, about 2 065 000 Croix de Guerre, 1 400 000 Médaille Militaire, a few thousands LH
if you have a Légion d'Honneur or Croix de Guerre, impossible to find a name
but if you have a soldier's name, you can find out if he is an LH recipient (Légion d'Honneur database)
cordially
Didier

cordially
Didier
