Uncles!!! Yeah, my maternal Grandfathers George medal has been passed by my uncles through the other side of the family, DOH!!!

and then dad borrowed them and then my brother pinched them. Ha ha.

I would try and neutralise that verdigris spot on the 39-45 in case it spreads.

Are the War Medal and Defense Medal Silver as the Canadian ones are, or are they that crupo (?) Nickle that the British used?

How do i clean off the verdigris spot? What causes it?
I think they are the same as what the british used. Not silver.
I still haven't got round to getting the pacific star yet.
