Another example of the officers pattern bronze cap badge;

This one to the 16th Queens' Lancers who were later amalgamated with 5th Royal Irish Lancers to form 16th/5th Lancers in 1922 with a title change in 1954 to 16th/5th The Queens Royal Lancers though the cap badge remained that of the former 16th except for the appropriate change from Kings' crown to Queens' crown until the further amalgamation in 1993 with 17th/21st Lancers to form The Queens' Royal Lancers and again in 2015 with 9th/12th Lancers to become The Royal Lancers wearing the famous Skull and Bones of "Death or Glory" fame.

The design shown here was in use from 1903 to 1922 and so would be the pattern in use during WWI.

This one is in mint unused condition and I include an other ranks bi-metal version for comparison.
