Gents,
Thank you for your help in deciphering the boy scout patches from the military. Like I stated before, i'm not well versed with these and I'm happy to learn more about them.

We all have a niche's and specialty areas of collecting.. US patches was were I cut my teeth with militaria collecting..
P.S. on a side note: I see you reside in the great Granite State of New Hampshire... I grew up in Salem, NH.. left when I joined the military over 30 years ago..

Too Bad "The Old Man of the Mountains" is a thing of the past.. I fondly remember going up to the White Mountains seeing the old man, riding the cog railway at Mt. Washington and just enjoying the countryside.. Franconia Notch was a favorite place of mine..

Smitty,
It is truly sad that the, "Old Man" is gone. That whole area of New Hampshire is beautiful! Don't forget the Kangamangus Highway! I was just up in Jackson not too long ago and stayed at the Wentworth Inn which is another beautiful spot!
Seeing the leaves change in fall along the Mohawk Trail and the Kangamangus HYWY was always a treat..

Absolutely!
The German collar tab is a Heer Tropical Litzen.

You've got a 69th Division patch in there too (second row up, second from right), the unit that linked up with the Russians at Torgau, on the Elbe in 1945 !
