French insignia identification

Hopefully someone will be able to help identify this insignia, it looks very similar to the French collar type used WWII. The color looks to be faded by the photo of the rear, and may have been light blue.

It is possibly part of the Army of the Levant, the seller has an Arabic shoulder title of similar cloth.

Any help would be appreciated.
