Hi Fabie
Sorry late to the party......again!
Both are modern era reproductions .
Not the thick spaghetti weave , which is characteristic of a Pakistani made piece.
cheers

HI Phil,
thanks again for letting me know.
I suspected a little that they were strange, but I did not know if there had been variants.
Thanks again Phil for your excellent knowledge.
"For the Beach group badge very difficult to find..."
Best regards.
Hi Phill,
Yes I think the France badge is very hard to find and a lot counterfeited.
For the Beach group badges I will wait, one day there will be one that will pass.
Can you tell me if the 264TH beach group participated in the Battle of Normandy?
I can't find much info about him...
Thanks Phill.
Hi Fabie
The answer is no.
264th was a Scottish Beach Group.
In one referance book I have the unit was formed in 1945 for the invasion of Japan.
264th was part of the Territorial Army 1947-52.
Another referance book has it created in 1956-1957 (later to become Port Task Force) to carry on the WWII beach groups role.
Either way,264th was not involved in Normandy.
