    Gents

Digging through boxes after cleaning out my childhood home.

These were mixed in with other random patches I had as a kid.

Could any be WW2 era? Vietnam? Modern? Or repoductions?

I probably acquired these in the late 70's. Don't even think I paid anything for them. Most likely just given to me.

(I have no idea what the Red/White/Blue patch is - with what looks like mountains or radio waves)

My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

    Hi MAP

101st is post WWII late 40's/1950's , this is known as a scribble eye.

The problem with his one, is that the manufacturer used the same tape, machinery and probably same individuals from WWII upto 1968 but for whatever reason had change the eye. It has most of the attributes of WWII era apart from the eye. Always a difficult one and some will put it as WWII.

I do have several eagles , like yours that i have shifted from WWII to post WWII C 1948 onwards.

    6th ID WWII era

Alaska NG HQ activated 1954 normally has a white border

MWD Subdued c 1966-68 pre merrow edge its a nice odd ball patch.

    No worries MAP.

One of the issues facing all collectors , no matter what military patches you collect is the era they were issued worn and the history.

    Then thow in theatre made..............

Thanks for the compliment René remember Dragons " Young years." Many mooooooons ago.
