    Good day

Here are two pairs of Officer's cast bronze Machine Gun Corps Collar Badges. Each with the stamp J&Co on the rear for the maker Jennens & Co. Does anyone know the significance of the black backing?

Probably a display embellishment, MGC insignia we’re not backed. Collars for any unit were almost never backed either, probably a few exceptions to the rule, there always are.

No idea on the backings, but lovely collars and jennens are always quality makers

Drop a line to my old mate Richard:

    The Vickers Machine Gun

He is in to all things MGC.

    Cheers, Ade.
