Yes and no.

Here are some examples of 1950's Pentomac era 101st and pocket patches c 1957-64 period

The 506th PP and oval is c1960-63

The one you showed on USMF is mismatched the tab is late WWII (embroidered on green twill) and was in a "Patch King" Catalogue or scrapbook note the black paper on reverse and the SSI is 1960's-65 period.

My named M1C belonged to a guy who was 1st Lt. in Company C, 1st Airborne Infantry Battle Group, 502nd IR, 101st Airborne Division, 1956-1958.

Hi Rob

They would of used WWII cap badges and the 1/2 ABG 502nd used the Eagle claw in a shield with the word Strike at the bottom from the mid 50's to late 50's
