Are you trying to recreate a supply depot?

All of my stuff just ends up in one of two shelves and if they don't fit there they go into an ammo box.

Also this thread has saved me on more than one occasion!

Glad you have found the thread helpful Heavington!

I think the wood shelves keep the collection pretty well organized and they fairly inexpensive, but they do give it a supply depot feel... lol

Yesterday I got a few L-straps at a show, and 3 of them are a bit unusual:

This 'economy'-type left L-strap is dated both 1941 and 1942, and is stamped 'straps':

I have read about the 'wide buckle'-version before but I can't find it now. Instead of the usual tapered bit and the small buckle the wide webbing goes all the way to a unusual, wide buckle. I guess this was for ease of production? The stamps are almost gone but I think it's dated 1943.

The third strap has the standard design but the buckle is made of what seems to be a metal alloy, not brass. Also, the end of the wide strap is just sewn, not crimped with a brass end. It is dated 1944.
