    G'day All,

Acquired this one today. Two questions, this is not the type I have in my British reference books! is it possible that it's a pat 44?
Secondly would this be a correct type of cutters and or configuration used for this carrier? (Aust Sunshine '43 used and same pat as British)
    Cheers in advance.

You find these wartime and post war dated and yes the frogs leg cutters are right for this holder , These cutters are still issued now to the British army

Cheers, so I guess this is a 44 pat as all others I see have a press snap.

    Gday Rene,
Here is my frog. There is a faint stamp but unreadable unfortunately. Cutters are 1917 so wrong period but same size.

    Hi Rene,
Its been a while since ive been here, glad to see you all still going strong.

I don't think there ever was a 44pat frog, it would be green.
Technically its 08pat reused with later kit. The closure makes it post ww2 - 37 ammo pouches changed in 1945 and a lot of the ancillary stuff did over the following decades.

Lovely, Thank You. If I may ask? what period is the catalog page you show? can't quite make out the text on it.
