    Rene, for your perusal here is the May 1943 MGO entry on the Protectors, eardrum from when they first went into service. This is the only info I have on these so I am not sure where yours fit into the scheme of things. I am not even sure the nomenclature mentioned in the MGO was ever used as I don't recall seeing any tins marked in the way they mention.
