That's what I said, but there is some tarnish on it. The seller mentioned she had found it in an attic with a bunch of original Victorian outfits which she was also selling there. She did not really know what she had.

Looks like an original to me mills made tons of these belts during the late 1800s could you post a picture of the buckle to confirm my thoughts
