US BAR belt identification

Hi,
I got my hands on this unissued BAR belt recently and by look and smell I would say it’s original, but I couldn’t find any manufacturer marks, so it seems strange. I’m quite lost now, so any tips would be highly appreciated, tahnks.

I wonder if it might be a British produced one, but to my eyes the material also looks strange, as the ammunition pouches are not the same sort of webbing as the pocket flaps.

I believe these were also produced in Belgium, for use with the FN-produced version of the BAR.

Certainly late production with the webbed alloy hook.

Interesting feedback, so perhaps not so much WW2 issue but possibly Algerian or Congo war era item?

Just throwing this out there. sterile CISO produced Okinawa for MACV-SOG
This was one of the go to items MACV-SOG used

or a Wal-mart knock off but they don't have the smell (something to do with the anti-fungal anti-rot treatment I suspect)

I just checked the MACV-SOG belt, its almost the same, but it seems, i'm not that lucky , I dont think its repro either, all repros has shitty buckles, this feel authentic...
