Article about: G'day All Anyone have one of these? 1918 dated but reissued to the RAN (in this case) in 1945. Came in a big heavy wooden box containing rope arranged for projecting ship to ship. I may take

    Thanks for showing signalman I have never seen these before. Would the propellant be inserted in to the tube there? How is the rope attached? via the spring loaded end? again Thanks for showing.

    Again a question? sorry, at what time frame did Lithgow do these conversions as this as I know it has WW1 period DD acceptance marks

    They work the same as other schermuly's. An igniting cartridge which is inserted into the unscrewed barrel, is fired which ignites the rocket that pulls the line.
