I'm sorry I'm unable to help you...but I wanted to thank you for the neutral-background photographs which make the item itself THE focus of attention...no plants, nets, dogs, washing machines, dirty laundry, keyboards, spanners, gingham table cloths, garden decking etc etc...you took the time, made the effort, showed us respect and for that I'm grateful.
....but I still can't help you :-) Good luck!
This set has me thrown too!! looks to be of Canadian stock? Can you wack it up assembled on a dummy or at least on a hanger?
i Haven't seen it in hand yet i've just ordered it not to long ago these are the only photos i have at the moment, and yeah it does look to be the nice Canadian Gold Canvas Colour
Mmm, you've got me too! Certainly nothing i have come across in British 37 pattern webbing, that.s not to say that it was not made for "specialist" use! I look forward to more light being shed on this as i think you have yourself a very rare little set!! Leon.
That's sweet. I'm at a loss and looking forward to more about it as well, thanks for posting.
It looks like it has a 37 type buckle so the adjusting C hook plates might give clues.
Maybe its the photos... The brass tabs on the pouches look a bit shorter than usual.
Might be some civilian rig made up from surplus webbing gear? The leather parts throw me off a bit?
That's a good point Leon...as a matter of interest, were there as many personal tweaks to Webbing in "those days" as there are now?..although nowadays it seems that one can buy pouches and straps (privately) for virtually any purpose AND get away with wearing it too.....I think it's called "Gucci" gear....
I'm hoping someone here can solve Travis' challenge...
Composite i think you have spend to much time on the arrse forum. But it is true!
