Nothing to add, all original Airtress Midland with the red painted carlisle tin that includes the additional sulphanilamide.

I can add that this is the first pattern ww2 pouch - as they moved away from the tin and used the waxed packet the pouch became about 5/8" deeper to accommodate the bigger bandage.

True, this is the M1924, the slightly larger model is the M1942.

Im confused now because you posted mine is M1924 and M1942 was lightly bigger but mine is stamping 1942 and then M1924 was used until 1942???
Could someone post both models to compare??
    Thanks in advance

Here are mine dated 1942 and 1943. The M1924 was just a model designation.

Then my example that began this thread is like yours on the left pic...a M1924 and the one on the right is a bigger M1942....???

By the way in M1942 was not there any kind of tin inside and did the waxed packet directly contain and last question:both models went across the whole WW2 or later was used only the M1942 to replace the M1924???

Yes, so many were made that both types could be found and issued throughout the war.
