    It's not a surrender document.

    Announcement

    1. From 1st Order of the Reich Minister, occupied areas of compulsory labor from December 19th, 1941 for/to all persons born 1922, 1923, 1924, 1925 years will be called to service.
    2. Will work on a legal contract and pay fees (tariff).
    3. All persons of the aforementioned years should appear at the district for medical examination
    Registration and hour of the medical commission will be individually notified.
    The commission will call for each particular village.
    4. Persons who do not appear (or failed to appear) with the commission will be punished along with their families. Those who do not appear in official labor will be punished with strict arrest.

    insulting, disrespectful & condescending remark

    REALLY BILL? Surely you have a thicker skin than to be insulted by a light hearted comment. If it hurt you so much you could have just asked for it to be removed.

    It was a light hearted comment regarding how many of the letters and characters seem to be, to the English language, the opposite way around.

    It might have been over the heads of some people but I don't think it deserved a negative reputation mark

    I have to agree!-One of the reasons I rarely post on this forum is because there is a certain faction who seem to get offended rather easily.

    Interesting

    So this would have been issued just prior to the Kursk Offensive and the Soviet Summer Offensives from July 43 onwards, Olevsk is north west of Kiev and would have come under control of Hoths 4th Army...
