Hi!
What do you think about participation of diary's owner in the Operation Jubilee (1942)?
There are documents and also maps. Two of the maps show Dieppe and surrounding areas. On one of the maps there is the part of the beach where took part the landing of the Royal Regiment of Canada and No. 3 Commando.
It is a known fact that Dieppe was liberated in 1944 without any resistance.
The owner of the diary mentions he took part in the memorial services in Canadian Cemetery in Dieppe in 1944.
I still cannot figure out the position/? of Major D.J. Baldwin. The notes in the diary about his duty stations are also not clear.
If you guys could figure out Major D.J. Baldwin's position and his duty stations would appreciate it!
Thanks a lot for your great help and sharing the valuable historical information!
