Dave those are some great shots.
Some pictures for the thread.
The Airman and the cheeky chap are both Great Uncles of mine. The soldier with his arms crossed is my Uncles' Uncle. (I have created a thread elsewhere on the forum with regards to a letter/diary that he wrote not long after D-day about the fighting around Bayeux, it makes very interesting reading - 1944 Post D-DAY (Bayeux) Description of fighting in soldiers personal letter)
This is a link to a Photgraph album that I have covering the Swiss army - WW2 Swiss army photograph album (not technically allied forces I know!)
The other pictures I have picked up over the years and have no history.
Forgot this one!
Grimebox great photos. Gary

Hey I noticed that when Sadolch posted his pictures of his father when he became a shellback but no one asked what a shellback is well for those of you who dont know a shellback is when someone goes past the equator in the navy they take sea water and pump it into a pool on the boat and put oil in it and you have to take a bath in it and you got a certificate and my great grandfather was one in 1930. - Nick K

Some very nice pictures in this thread! I had photos of my grandfather from his photo album when he was in the Pacific, but I have lost the files and my grandmother has the photo album right now so unfortunately I cannot post them yet.
