Very nice!.....
Looks like a nice blade, is it a volunteer pattern? The scabbard and frog look like they're in good nick. They might be worth more than the bayonet.

Never seen one in this condition - most are without
scabbards and very worn. Great piece.........
Regards,
Steve.

I was addicted to the "Hokey-Pokey" but I've turned
myself around.
Thanks guys.
This one will be up for auction on Nov 23rd.
@ Alex: my knowledge does not really extend that far on these, so I could not tell you!
I too was impressed with the condition of the leather. It has came from the stock of a now retired antiques dealer.
Cheers, Ade.

Ade,
The volunteer ones are devoid of WD broad arrow or inspectors marks.

as a postscript..and the chances of seeing two in one day in a scabbard..i was just at a returned services club and in a cabinet they had one with a scabbard, i couldnt believe it..the scabbard was different, it was leather but at the bottom it had metal..the top had what looked very similar to a ww1 bayonet holder..ill try and get down there again before i fly out for a while, to try and get some pics
