Was given this yesterday along with a FS fighting knife.

Can someone help me out by identifying it?

Just been looking through auction items and it may be a Belgian made FN Fal bayonet?

Could also be a Argentine used bayonet used with the FN Fal is there maker name on it ?

Hi @kradman, no maker marks or anything other than a serial number, sorry.

I would also say Belgian made FN FAL bayonet. These were exported to many countries.

Correct, it's a FN FAL, but it's a "Type B" with the plastic grips which are not so common, and used by only a few countries, the West German Border Guards, Chile. The wood grip "Type A" is a lot more common to see.
