Looks like a standard WWII U.S. Army machete and cover. There should be
maker marks on the blade near the handle - which can sometimes be
quite large, but occasionally rather faint. Often seen is the brand
name: 'Collins Legitimus'.........

Ok thanks a guy has it for sale do they have any value?
Yes, but because they are not as popular as fighting/utility knives
and are rather cumbersome, they have not sold for much in
the past. Today though, everything original WWII has
been climbing price-wise, however, this is not in
great condition - it's definitely used.
Have a look on Ebay - there are probably a few on at any
given time. You might get an idea of realised
auction prices.........
