No one is saying the knife isn't desirable. I was just pointing out that these type of things, while not often found, are not unheard of.
There are many collectors who are interested in attributed items. Especially if you can find some extra info. And this will often add some value to the item.
The data is there for you to begin to dig deeper and maybe identify what unit he was in. That will then help you determine the locations and if they were wartime or post war.
